In April 1970 Apollo13 narrowly avoided disaster thanks to the efforts of the team at NASA and on board the spacecraft working together. Many things went wrong on this mission mainly caused by an explosion early into journey. This explosion was caused by a faulty component designed and fitted many years earlier. But the astronauts themselves almost died due to the incompatibility of the CO2 canisters that cleaned the air, between the Command Module and the Lunar Module. They were different shapes and neither fitted the other’s connection interface. Clearly these were designed by two different vendors and no thought of any interoperability was considered necessary, until that fateful day. However, the ingenuity of the NASA team helped convert one into the other and the day was saved. The issue of interoperability was addressed and this issue was avoided in the future.
In Video Conferencing, interoperability has been both critical and the bane of the lives of the designers in the Video Conferencing vendors. Due to the poor design of the Video Conferencing network, every standards based unit from every vendor HAD to work with every other standards based unit from the past and in the future. All of the intelligence is in the box that sits in the corporate meeting room. When something changed in one unit, then vendors had to produce updates to ensure interoperability. The responsibility for upgrading is/was in the hands of the users. Clearly this is an unacceptable situation ongoing.
With StarLeaf Cloud Video Conferencing from AuDeo, this issue is in the past. The point of interoperability is in the cloud and not the users worry or responsibility. All standards based systems will operate and interoperate with others and StarLeaf cloud resolves all of the issues. No support calls necessary, no software upgrades to perform and no cancelled meetings due to inability to connect.
It just works!!!!
This is the way it should have always been and is certainly the way it is now. See a demonstration of StarLeaf now, it will be the best decision you can make today……
